Job Title: Service Engineer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOE (OTE £45K–£55K with overtime, call-outs, and bonuses)

Contracted Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays

Role Overview:

Are you an experienced service engineer with strong technical skills in fire and security systems? APS Security is looking to recruit a Service Engineer to join our Midlands team. About the Role:

As a Service Engineer at APS Security, you will:

• Service, maintain, and repair fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Carry out routine testing, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance in line with industry standards.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Complete all relevant paperwork, reports, and compliance documentation accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a point of technical support for clients.
• Work to health & safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.
• Participate in the on-call rota and occasional overtime as required.
• Keep up to date with product training and technical developments.

About You:

• Experience: Proven experience in servicing fire and/or security systems.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with current BS, BAFE, and industry standards.
• Skills: Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities, with good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Other: Full UK driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to participate in on-call and overtime schedules.
